If you suspect that you have been the victim
of an identity crime, you should take the following steps
immediately:

 Contact
Equifax at 1 800 465 7166 or 514 493 2314. They will add
a statement to your file to alert credit grantors that
you may be a victim of fraudulent activity.
- Contact the TransUnion Fraud Victim Assistance
Department at 1 877 525 3823. (In Quebec, call 1 877 713
3393) to place fraud alerts on your credit files.
- If you have lost your identification, passport or
credit cards, contact the police immediately. DO
NOT CALL 911. Ask Directory Assistance for the
non-emergency police telephone number.
